بدأت أمانة المنطقة الشرقية، بالتعاون مع إدارة مرور المنطقة الشرقية، أمس (الجمعة) بتنفيذ أعمال صيانة ورفع كفاءة الطريق وتعزيز السلامة المرورية على مجمع جسور طريق الأمير محمد بن فهد عند تقاطعه مع طريق خادم الحرمين الشريفين بمدينة الظهران، وذلك ضمن جهود تطوير البنية التحتية ورفع كفاءة شبكة الطرق الحيوية في مدن المنطقة.
وتشمل الأعمال الجارية استبدال فواصل التمدد وإعادة السفلتة على الجسر، بما يسهم في تحسين مستوى السلامة المرورية ورفع كفاءة الطريق، إضافة إلى تعزيز انسيابية الحركة وتقليل المخاطر المحتملة على مستخدمي الطريق، خصوصاً في المواقع ذات الكثافة المرورية العالية.
وسينفذ المشروع على مراحل، حيث تتضمن المرحلة الأولى إغلاق منحدر الخروج من طريق الأمير محمد بن فهد المتجه إلى طريق خادم الحرمين الشريفين إغلاقاً كلياً، وذلك لتمكين الفرق الفنية من تنفيذ الأعمال وفق معايير الجودة والسلامة، وحرصاً على استمرار الحركة المرورية دون تأثيرات كبيرة، سيتم تحويل حركة المركبات عبر المسار البديل المعتمد من خلال مخرج طريق خادم الحرمين الشريفين، مع توفير اللوحات الإرشادية والتنظيمية في الموقع لتوجيه السائقين وضمان انسيابية المرور.
ودعت أمانة المنطقة الشرقية، بالتعاون مع إدارة المرور، قائدي المركبات إلى الالتزام بالتحويلات المرورية المؤقتة، واتباع التعليمات الإرشادية، والتقيد بالسرعات المحددة في محيط الأعمال، حفاظاً على سلامتهم وسلامة العاملين في الموقع.
وتأتي هذه الأعمال ضمن الأعمال المستمرة التي تنفذها أمانة المنطقة الشرقية لتطوير ورفع كفاءة الطرق والجسور، وتحسين جودة البنية التحتية، بما يواكب النمو العمراني والحركة المرورية المتزايدة، ويسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات السلامة المرورية وجودة الحياة في المنطقة الشرقية.
The Eastern Province Municipality, in cooperation with the Eastern Province Traffic Department, started yesterday (Friday) the maintenance and efficiency enhancement works on the road and the improvement of traffic safety at the intersection of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Road with King Abdulaziz Road in Dhahran, as part of efforts to develop the infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of the vital road network in the region’s cities.
The ongoing works include replacing expansion joints and resurfacing the bridge, which contributes to improving traffic safety levels and enhancing road efficiency, in addition to facilitating traffic flow and reducing potential risks for road users, especially in areas with high traffic density.
The project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase involving the complete closure of the exit ramp from Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Road heading to King Abdulaziz Road, to enable technical teams to carry out the works according to quality and safety standards. To ensure the continuity of traffic flow without significant impacts, vehicle movement will be redirected through the approved alternative route via the exit of King Abdulaziz Road, with the provision of guiding and regulatory signs on site to direct drivers and ensure smooth traffic.
The Eastern Province Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, urges vehicle drivers to adhere to the temporary traffic diversions, follow the guiding instructions, and comply with the speed limits in the work area, to ensure their safety and the safety of the workers on site.
These works are part of the ongoing efforts by the Eastern Province Municipality to develop and enhance the efficiency of roads and bridges, and to improve the quality of infrastructure, in line with urban growth and increasing traffic movement, contributing to achieving traffic safety targets and quality of life in the Eastern Province.
