برز الدور السعودي في احتواء التداعيات الإنسانية للأحداث التي تشهدها اليمن، لتعمل السعودية على فتح قنوات العبور لهم، وتسريع الإجراءات، وتوفير الرعاية الكاملة للقادمين، بما يعكس نهج المملكة في التعامل مع الأزمات الإنسانية بوصفها مسؤولية تتجاوز الجغرافيا والجنس.
وجاء التدخل السعودي بعد تعثر مغادرة المسافرين من سقطرى نتيجة الأحداث الأخيرة، وبرزت المملكة حلقةَ وصلٍ إنسانية منظمة، عبر تسريع إصدار التأشيرات الإلكترونية، وإعادة إصدار التذاكر مجاناً للمتعثرين، وتقديم السكن والوجبات والخدمات الأساسية لهم، في منظومة متكاملة تعكس قدرة السعودية على إدارة الأزمات الإنسانية بكفاءة عالية ودون تمييز بين الجنسيات.
وعملت المديرية العامة للجوازات على إنهاء إجراءات سفر السياح القادمين من جزيرة سقطرى، وقدّمت لهم جميع التسهيلات اللازمة لمعالجة أوضاعهم، وذلك عبر مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي بجدة.
وأكّدت الجوازات تسخير جميع إمكاناتها لدعم المواقع المخصّصة لخدمتهم، من خلال تزويدها بالأجهزة التقنية الحديثة والكوادر البشرية المؤهلة، بما يسهم في سرعة إنهاء إجراءات سفرهم وضمان عودتهم إلى بلدانهم بكل يسر وأمان.
واستقبل مطار الملك عبدالعزيز بجدة رحلات تقل السياح العالقين في جزيرة سقطرى اليمنية من جنسيات أوروبية وأمريكية وآسيوية.
ويأتي ذلك في إطار الجهود المبذولة لتسهيل عودتهم ونقلهم بأمان إلى بلدانهم بعد فترة من بقائهم عالقين في الجزيرة اليمنية، وبلغ إجمالي عدد القادمين خلال يومين 337 سائحاً من 22 جنسية، بينهم 7 مواطنين أمريكيين، و19 من روسيا.
وكانت الرحلة الأولى قد وصلت، الأربعاء، وعلى متنها 197 سائحاً، غالبيتهم من الجنسيات الأوروبية، إلى جانب جنسيات من دول آسيوية وأمريكية، إضافة إلى مواطن من الأردن.
ووفق المعلومات، تبقى من الرحلة الأولى 128 شخصاً في جدة، لاستكمال إجراءات سفرهم، في حين غادر الباقون إلى وجهاتهم النهائية، وتنوّعت جنسياتهم بين إيطاليا وروسيا وبولندا والولايات المتحدة وألمانيا وكرواتيا وإسبانيا، وتمكّن أكثر من 100 راكب على متن الرحلة الثانية من الحصول على تأشيرات دخول المملكة، جرى إصدارها إلكترونياً عبر وزارة الخارجية السعودية للقادمين على متن رحلة الخميس، في خطوةٍ عكست مرونة الإجراءات وسرعة الاستجابة، ما أسهم في تسهيل عبور القادمين وإنهاء أوضاعهم النظامية.
كما جرى التنسيق مع شركات الطيران لإعادة إصدار تذاكر السفر مجاناً للمتعثرين، في حين حظي ركاب إحدى الرحلات التي ضمت 4 إماراتيين برعاية كاملة حتى مغادرتهم، في تأكيد شمولية الاستجابة وعدم التمييز.

الإرياني: خطوة عملية مهمة
أكد وزير الإعلام والثقافة والسياحة معمر الإرياني وصول أول رحلة جوية مباشرة من جزيرة سقطرى إلى مدينة جدة، وعلى متنها 180 سائحاً، مؤكداً أنها خطوة سيادية وعملية مهمة، تجسد نجاح الجهود الحكومية والتنسيق المؤسسي الهادف إلى معالجة أوضاع السياح، وتعزيز الربط الجوي الدولي مع أرخبيل سقطرى، بما يرسخ حضوره وجهةً سياحيةً عالميةً فريدةً، وأن هذه الخطوة تمثل بداية لمسار أوسع يستهدف توسيع حركة السفر السياحي إلى الأرخبيل بصورة مدروسة ومستدامة، وبما يضمن الحفاظ على البيئة الفريدة لسقطرى، وتطوير البنية التحتية السياحية والخدمية في المحافظة، وخلق فرص تنموية حقيقية لأبنائها، وفق رؤية وطنية متكاملة تحترم خصوصية الأرخبيل البيئية والثقافية.
The Saudi role in containing the humanitarian repercussions of the events taking place in Yemen has emerged, with Saudi Arabia working to open channels for their passage, expedite procedures, and provide full care for the arrivals, reflecting the Kingdom’s approach to dealing with humanitarian crises as a responsibility that transcends geography and nationality.
The Saudi intervention came after travelers from Socotra faced difficulties leaving due to recent events, with the Kingdom emerging as an organized humanitarian link by expediting the issuance of electronic visas, reissuing tickets for free to those stranded, and providing housing, meals, and basic services to them, in a comprehensive system that reflects Saudi Arabia’s ability to manage humanitarian crises efficiently and without discrimination between nationalities.
The General Directorate of Passports worked to complete the travel procedures for tourists arriving from Socotra Island, providing them with all the necessary facilities to address their situations, through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The Passports Directorate confirmed that it has mobilized all its capabilities to support the designated sites serving them, by equipping them with modern technical devices and qualified human resources, which contributes to the swift completion of their travel procedures and ensures their return to their countries with ease and safety.
King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah received flights carrying tourists stranded in the Yemeni island of Socotra from European, American, and Asian nationalities.
This comes as part of the efforts made to facilitate their return and transport them safely to their countries after a period of being stranded on the Yemeni island, with a total of 337 tourists arriving over two days from 22 nationalities, including 7 American citizens and 19 from Russia.
The first flight arrived on Wednesday, carrying 197 tourists, the majority of whom were from European nationalities, along with nationalities from Asian and American countries, in addition to a citizen from Jordan.
According to the information, 128 people from the first flight remain in Jeddah to complete their travel procedures, while the others have departed to their final destinations, with their nationalities varying between Italy, Russia, Poland, the United States, Germany, Croatia, and Spain. More than 100 passengers on the second flight were able to obtain entry visas to the Kingdom, which were issued electronically through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for those arriving on Thursday’s flight, in a step that reflected the flexibility of the procedures and the speed of response, facilitating the passage of the arrivals and resolving their legal situations.
Coordination was also made with airlines to reissue travel tickets for free to those stranded, while passengers on one of the flights that included 4 Emiratis received full care until their departure, confirming the comprehensiveness of the response and the lack of discrimination.

Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani confirmed the arrival of the first direct flight from Socotra Island to Jeddah, carrying 180 tourists, emphasizing that it is a sovereign and important practical step that embodies the success of government efforts and institutional coordination aimed at addressing the situations of tourists and enhancing international air connectivity with the Socotra archipelago, solidifying its presence as a unique global tourist destination. He stated that this step represents the beginning of a broader path aimed at expanding tourist travel to the archipelago in a studied and sustainable manner, ensuring the preservation of Socotra’s unique environment, developing the tourism and service infrastructure in the governorate, and creating real developmental opportunities for its residents, in accordance with a comprehensive national vision that respects the environmental and cultural uniqueness of the archipelago.
