رد المطرب السوري الشامي على الجدل المثار حول طريقة سلامه على الفنانة اللبنانية نانسي عجرم خلال حفل Joy Awards، بعدما قام بتقبيل يده بدلاً من يدها لتبادل التحية، مؤكّداً أن الأمر لم يكن أكثر من تصرّف بسيط نابع من الاحترام والتقدير.
احترام للمساحة الشخصية
أوضح الشامي في منشور عبر حسابه على «إنستغرام» أنه التزم بالمساحة الشخصية لعدم وجود معرفة سابقة مع نانسي عجرم، معتبراً أن سلوكه جاء متوافقاً مع بروتوكول الموقف، ولا يحمل أي دلالات أخرى تستدعي التضخيم.
بروتوكول طبيعي لا يستدعي التضخيم
وشدّد الشامي على أن الجدل الدائر حول الواقعة مبالغ فيه، داعياً إلى عدم تحميل الموقف أكثر مما يحتمل، خصوصاً أنّه كان طبيعياً ومقبولاً من الطرفين.
منافسته مع فضل شاكر
كما تحدّث الشامي عن ترشحه لجائزتي المطرب المفضل والأغنية المفضلة في Joy Awards، معبّراً عن فخره بوضع اسمه بجانب الفنان اللبناني فضل شاكر ضمن المنافسين، مؤكداً أنّ ترشيحه أيضاً يستحق التقدير.

Al-Shami emphasized that the ongoing debate about the incident is exaggerated, urging not to load the situation more than it can bear, especially since it was natural and acceptable for both parties.
His Competition with Fadl Shaker
He also spoke about his nominations for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Song at the Joy Awards, expressing his pride in having his name alongside Lebanese artist Fadl Shaker among the competitors, affirming that his nomination also deserves recognition.
