في بعض المؤتمرات والمنتديات والمهرجانات، لا يكفي الضجيج الاحتفالي والصخب الاحتفائي لقياس النجاح، بل يجب قياس الأثر؛ فهو المعيار الحقيقي لتقييم النجاح أو الفشل. وهذا ينطبق على العديد من المنتديات والمؤتمرات والمهرجانات التي يُنفق عليها الكثير؛ فمنها ما تُطوى صفحته بمجرد إسدال الستار على اليوم الختامي، ومنها ما يستمر أثره في تحقيق أهدافه وتنفيذ مخرجاته !
لست هنا أعني حدثاً بعينه، ولو فعلت لوجدت عتباً حتى ممن قد لا يكون معنياً؛ فالبعض لديه حساسية مفرطة، ويظن أن كل نقد هو استهداف شخصي في حدّه الأدنى، وتشويه وطني في حدّه الأعلى، كأن شيطنة النقد هي الحصن الذي يتحصن به كل من أراد الهروب من مواجهة المسؤولية !
ومن السهل التمييز بين المناسبات الفاعلة بنتائجها المثمرة وصداها الدولي، ومناسبات الفلاشات والأضواء التي لا تُخلّف سوى الظلام الدامس عند انطفاء أنوار قاعاتها، من خلال التمييز بين العناوين والمشاركين والضيوف؛ فالجهات الجادة لا تبحث عن الأضواء بقدر ما تبحث عن الأثر الفعلي، الذي يحقق المستهدفات الوطنية التي نُظمت من أجلها هذه الأحداث، ويعزز مكانة وريادة المملكة عالمياً، ويُلمس انعكاس أثره على مجالات وقطاعات أعمالها. بينما هناك جهات ينطبق على منتدياتها ومؤتمراتها ومهرجاناتها المثل القائل: جعجعة بلا طحن !
باختصار.. من علامات غلبة الصخب على الأثر تكرار نفس الأفكار، ونفس المتحدثين، ونفس الضيوف، حتى باتت بعض المناسبات مواعيد ينتظرها المشاركون والضيوف المتكررون لتجديد العهد بعلاقاتهم، والمحصلة: إلى اللقاء في السنة المقبلة !
In some conferences, forums, and festivals, the celebratory noise and festive clamor are not enough to measure success; rather, the impact must be measured, as it is the true criterion for evaluating success or failure. This applies to many forums, conferences, and festivals that require significant expenditure; some are quickly forgotten once the curtain falls on the closing day, while others continue to have an impact in achieving their goals and implementing their outcomes!
I am not referring to a specific event here, and if I were, I would find criticism even from those who may not be concerned; some have an excessive sensitivity and believe that every critique is a personal attack at its least, and a national distortion at its most, as if demonizing criticism is the fortress that protects anyone who wishes to escape facing responsibility!
It is easy to distinguish between effective events with fruitful results and international resonance, and those that are merely flashes and lights that leave nothing but darkness when their halls’ lights go out, by differentiating between the titles, participants, and guests; serious entities do not seek the spotlight as much as they seek actual impact, which achieves the national objectives for which these events were organized, enhances the Kingdom’s global standing and leadership, and reflects its impact on various fields and sectors of its business. Meanwhile, there are entities for which the saying applies: much noise with no substance!
In short, one of the signs of noise overpowering impact is the repetition of the same ideas, the same speakers, and the same guests, to the point that some events have become occasions awaited by recurring participants and guests to renew their relationships, and the outcome: see you next year!
