تداولت منصات التواصل الاجتماعي صورة أثارت الجدل، وادّعى ناشروها أن دوقة ساسكس ميغان ماركل ظهرت في أحضان الأمير أندرو، وأن الأمير هاري اكتشف وجود «علاقة» قديمة جمعت بينهما.
لكن التحقق أظهر أن هذه المزاعم غير صحيحة تمامًا. فالصورة مفبركة، ولا دليل على أصالتها، وتمت معالجتها بواسطة أدوات كشف التزييف الرقمي، مثل برنامج DeepFake-O-Meter، الذي أكد أن نسبة التزوير في الصورة بلغت 97.48%.
وتعود الصورة فعليًا إلى أكثر من عقدين، وكانت جزءًا من أرشيف قديم لفعالية خيرية حضرتها ميغان ماركل حين كانت ممثلة صاعدة، ولم يكن الأمير أندرو حاضرًا في تلك المناسبة. كما أن المواقع التي نشرت الشائعات المختلفة حول الصورة، مثل hellotinhay.com، تصنفها جهات متخصصة بأنها مواقع مثيرة للشبهات وغير موثوقة، وتمارس التصيد الاحتيالي ونشر الأخبار المزيفة.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذه الشائعات جاءت بعد الإفراج عن الأمير أندرو من التوقيف المؤقت على ذمة تحقيقات تتعلق بمخالفات أثناء تأدية مهماته الرسمية، على خلفية قضايا مرتبطة بالملياردير الراحل جيفري إبستين، ما ساعد على تضخيم انتشار الخبر الكاذب.
وفي واقع الأمر أنه لا صحة لأي علاقة بين ميغان ماركل والأمير أندرو، ولا يوجد أي دليل على اكتشاف الأمير هاري لعلاقة من هذا النوع. لكن هذه الحادثة تؤكد مرة أخرى كيف يمكن لشائعات رقمية أن تنتشر بسرعة، وتستهدف إثارة الفضول والصدمة لجذب النقرات، بعيدًا عن أي أساس حقيقي.

However, verification showed that these claims are completely false. The image is fabricated, there is no evidence of its authenticity, and it has been processed by digital forgery detection tools, such as the DeepFake-O-Meter program, which confirmed that the forgery rate of the image reached 97.48%.
The image actually dates back more than two decades and was part of an old archive from a charity event attended by Meghan Markle when she was an emerging actress, and Prince Andrew was not present at that occasion. Furthermore, the websites that published various rumors about the image, such as hellotinhay.com, are classified by specialized entities as suspicious and unreliable sites that engage in phishing and spreading fake news.
It is worth noting that these rumors emerged after Prince Andrew was released from temporary detention pending investigations related to misconduct during his official duties, in connection with issues involving the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, which helped amplify the spread of the false news.
In reality, there is no truth to any relationship between Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew, and there is no evidence that Prince Harry discovered such a relationship. However, this incident once again highlights how quickly digital rumors can spread, aiming to provoke curiosity and shock to attract clicks, far removed from any real basis.
