حمل الاجتماع الرسمي الذي جمع أمس بين وزيرة الداخلية البريطانية شهبان محمود والرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع، بُعداً إنسانياً لافتاً يتجاوز الطابع السياسي التقليدي، بالنظر إلى تقاطع مسارات النشأة المبكرة لكلا الشخصيتين داخل المملكة العربية السعودية، إذ تعود جذور وزيرة الداخلية البريطانية إلى مدينة برمنغهام حيث وُلدت عام 1980، قبل أن تنتقل في طفولتها إلى الطائف برفقة والدها المهندس، وتقضي هناك سنواتها الأولى حتى سن السابعة، في تجربة معيشية شكّلت جزءاً من وعيها المبكر.
