حالة من الصدمة والذهول خيمت على الوسط الفني والجمهور في مصر عقب الإعلان عن الوفاة المفاجئة للفنان الشاب محمد حسن الجندي في وداع مبكر لواحد من المواهب الواعدة.
وجاء الخبر الحزين عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، حينما أعلن زميله الفنان كريم محجوب نبأ رحيله المفاجئ عبر حسابه على «فيسبوك»، لتتحول منصات التواصل سريعاً إلى سرادق عزاء وموجة عارمة من التعاطف والنعي من أصدقائه ومحبيه الذين صدمهم غيابه السريع.
تقمص أبهر المخرجين
ومع انتشار الخبر، استعاد الجمهور وصناع السينما الأثر البارز الذي تركه الراحل رغم قصر مسيرته؛ حيث لمع اسمه بشكل لافت عندما جسد شخصية الرئيس المصري السابق محمد أنور السادات في الجزء الثاني من فيلم «الكنز: الحب والمصير» للمخرج الكبير شريف عرفة وبطولة محمد رمضان. ورغم حداثة سنه، أظهر الجندي قدرة استثنائية وبراعة فائقة في تقمص لغة الجسد ونبرة صوت السادات، ما حصد آنذاك إشادات واسعة من النقاد والجمهور على حد سواء.
بصمة باقية
لم يكن الجندي يبحث عن مساحة الدور بقدر ما كان يبحث عن قيمته؛ فرغم أن أغلب مشاركاته في المسرح والدراما والسينما جاءت في إطار الأدوار الثانوية، إلا أنه نجح في ترك بصمة واضحة لدى المشاهدين، خصوصاً في الأعمال التاريخية والدرامية المعقدة.
وقد أثرى الراحل خشبة المسرح بعدة أعمال متميزة منها «ليلة مصرع جيفارا» عام 2015 و«العادلون» عام 2016، كما حجز لنفسه مكاناً على الشاشة الصغيرة عبر مشاركته في مسلسلات بارزة، من بينها «القيصر» مع الفنان يوسف الشريف، ومسلسل «شقة فيصل» برفقة الفنان كريم محمود عبد العزيز، ليرحل تاركاً خلفه سيرة فنية قصيرة لكنها مليئة بالشغف والطموح.

A portrayal that amazed directors
As the news spread, the audience and filmmakers recalled the significant impact left by the late artist despite his short career; his name shone brightly when he portrayed the character of former Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar Sadat in the second part of the film “El-Kenz: Love and Destiny,” directed by the great Sherif Arafa and starring Mohamed Ramadan. Despite his young age, El-Gendy demonstrated exceptional ability and remarkable skill in embodying Sadat’s body language and tone of voice, which garnered widespread praise from critics and the audience alike at the time.
A lasting imprint
El-Gendy was not searching for the space of a role as much as he was seeking its value; although most of his contributions in theater, drama, and cinema came in the form of supporting roles, he succeeded in leaving a clear mark on viewers, especially in historical and complex dramatic works.
The late artist enriched the stage with several distinguished works, including “The Night of Che Guevara’s Death” in 2015 and “The Just Ones” in 2016. He also secured a place on the small screen through his participation in prominent series, including “El-Qaisar” with artist Youssef El Sherif and the series “Apartment Faisal” alongside artist Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, leaving behind a short artistic legacy filled with passion and ambition.
