وضعت كوابيس الليل واضطرابات النوم حداً لغموض دام عقداً كاملاً، بعدما قادت المحققين الأتراك إلى كشف هوية قاتل زوجين مسنين عام 2016 في محافظة «نيفشيهير» وسط البلاد، وتبين أنه حفيدهما الذي أفلت بجريمته طوال تلك السنوات دون ترك أي أثر.
الجريمة الصادمة التي راح ضحيتها إبراهيم (74 عاماً) وفاطمة (79 عاماً)، طويت أوراقها قبل سنوات دون الوصول للمنفذ، وتحولت إلى مادة دسمة لبرامج التلفزيون المهتمة بالجرائم الغامضة، حتى أعادت وحدة التحقيقات المشكلة حديثاً من وزارة العدل فتح الملف مجدداً.
وركزت خيوط التحريات الجديدة على مراقبة المحيط العائلي، ليرصد الأمن سلوكاً غريباً وتوتراً حاداً يعيشه الحفيد «أوزجان» (الذي كان مراهقاً وقت الحادثة)، إلى جانب معاناته المستمرة من اضطرابات النوم والذعر الليلي. وبمواجهته، انهار الشاب واعترف بقتل جده وجدته بسبب نزاع عائلي وبحضور والدته، مؤكداً أنه نظف مسرح الجريمة بدقة وتخلص من السلاح بإلقائه في النهر.
ووثق مقطع فيديو اقتياد الأمن للشاب القاتل إلى منزل الضحيتين، حيث مثل تفاصيل جريمته بحضور والدته الخاضعة حالياً للإقامة الجبرية، فيما اتسعت دائرة الاتهامات لتطال 5 أشخاص آخرين يشتبه في تسترهم على المذبحة العائلية طوال 10 سنوات.
The nightmares of the night and sleep disturbances put an end to a decade-long mystery, after leading Turkish investigators to uncover the identity of the killer of an elderly couple in 2016 in the province of “Nevşehir” in central Turkey, who turned out to be their grandson who had evaded capture for all those years without leaving any trace.
The shocking crime that claimed the lives of Ibrahim (74 years old) and Fatima (79 years old) had been closed for years without reaching the perpetrator, and it became rich material for television programs interested in mysterious crimes, until a newly formed investigation unit from the Ministry of Justice reopened the case.
The new investigation focused on monitoring the family environment, where security observed strange behavior and intense tension exhibited by the grandson “Özcan” (who was a teenager at the time of the incident), alongside his ongoing struggles with sleep disturbances and night terrors. When confronted, the young man broke down and confessed to killing his grandparents due to a family dispute in the presence of his mother, confirming that he meticulously cleaned the crime scene and disposed of the weapon by throwing it into the river.
A video recorded the security forces escorting the young killer to the victims’ home, where he reenacted the details of his crime in the presence of his mother, who is currently under house arrest, while the circle of accusations expanded to include 5 other individuals suspected of covering up the family massacre for 10 years.
