كشفت سفيرة العراق لدى المملكة صفية طالب السهيل لـ«عكاظ» استكمال الإجراءات اللازمة لاستقبال المواطنين العراقيين العالقين، القادمين جواً من مدينتي نيودلهي والقاهرة إلى المملكة، تمهيداً لنقلهم براً عبر منفذ عرعر الحدودي وعودتهم إلى العراق.
وقالت إن المواطنين العراقيين سيصلون إلى مطار عرعر على متن رحلات للخطوط الجوية العراقية قادمة من نيودلهي والقاهرة، على أن يتم نقلهم براً بالحافلات من المطار إلى منفذ عرعر الحدودي تمهيداً لعبورهم إلى الأراضي العراقية.
وأضافت أن السفارة حصلت على الموافقات الرسمية اللازمة من الجهات المختصة في المملكة، لإتمام هذه العملية، مؤكدة استمرار التنسيق مع الجهات المعنية، لتأمين نقل المواطنين العالقين بأسرع وقت ممكن.
وأعربت السفيرة عن شكرها وتقديرها العميقين لما أبدته المملكة من تعاون وتسهيلات مقدّرة، قدمتها الجهات ذات العلاقة كافة، ممثلة في وزارة الخارجية ووزارة الداخلية ووزارة الحج، إضافة إلى الجهات المعنية بالمنافذ الحدودية في مختلف أنحاء المملكة، وكافة المؤسسات ذات الصلة، لاسيما إمارة منطقة الحدود الشمالية في عرعر، والمنفذ الحدودي السعودي–العراقي.
وأكدت أن هذا التعاون يعكس عمق العلاقات الأخوية المتينة وروح التضامن والتعاون بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وكان له أثر بالغ في تسهيل إجراءات نقل المواطنين العالقين وعودتهم إلى بلادهم بأمان.
وأوضحت أن المنافذ الحدودية مع دول الخليج تشهد انسيابية في الحركة، ما يسهم في تسهيل دخول المواطنين العراقيين ومنحهم تأشيرات مرور تمكّنهم من الوصول إلى منفذ عرعر الحدودي تمهيداً لعودتهم إلى العراق.
وشددت السفيرة على أن هذه الإجراءات تأتي ضمن الجهود المبذولة لتأمين عودة المواطنين العراقيين العالقين بسلام، وتسهيل عبورهم عبر منفذ عرعر الحدودي في أقرب وقت ممكن.
The Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom, Safia Talib Al-Suhail, revealed to “Okaz” the completion of the necessary procedures to receive the stranded Iraqi citizens arriving by air from the cities of New Delhi and Cairo to the Kingdom, in preparation for their land transfer through the Arar border crossing and their return to Iraq.
She stated that the Iraqi citizens will arrive at Arar Airport on Iraqi Airways flights coming from New Delhi and Cairo, and they will be transported by buses from the airport to the Arar border crossing in preparation for their crossing into Iraqi territory.
She added that the embassy has obtained the necessary official approvals from the relevant authorities in the Kingdom to complete this process, confirming ongoing coordination with the concerned parties to ensure the swift transportation of the stranded citizens.
The ambassador expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for the cooperation and significant facilitation provided by all relevant authorities, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Hajj, in addition to the authorities concerned with border crossings across the Kingdom, and all related institutions, especially the Emirate of the Northern Borders Region in Arar, and the Saudi-Iraqi border crossing.
She affirmed that this cooperation reflects the depth of the strong fraternal relations and the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, and has had a significant impact on facilitating the procedures for transporting the stranded citizens and their safe return to their homeland.
She clarified that the border crossings with the Gulf countries are witnessing smooth movement, which contributes to facilitating the entry of Iraqi citizens and granting them transit visas that enable them to reach the Arar border crossing in preparation for their return to Iraq.
The ambassador emphasized that these measures are part of the efforts made to ensure the safe return of the stranded Iraqi citizens and to facilitate their crossing through the Arar border crossing as soon as possible.
