شهدت مدينة أتلانتا واقعة سرقة مثيرة للجدل طالت مواد موسيقية غير مُصدرة تعود للنجمة العالمية بيونسيه، وبتكثيف التحقيقات وجه الاتهام إلى كيفن إيفانز، الذي أدين بالسرقة وحكم عليه بالسجن 5 سنوات.
تفاصيل السرقة
وتعود تفاصيل الواقعة إلى 8 يوليو 2024، عندما تقدم مصمم رقصات بيونسيه كريستوفر غرانت ببلاغ عن كسر زجاج سيارته بهدف السرقة، وأكد غرانت في البلاغ سرقة حقيبتين من السيارة إضافة إلى أقراص صلبة تحتوي على مواد شديدة الحساسية، من بينها مقاطع موسيقية غير مُصدرة لبيونسيه، وخطط عروض ومحتوى مرتبط بجولتها Cowboy Carter Tour، وقوائم الأغاني الخاصة بحفل أتلانتا، ومواد إنتاج وعروض مسجلة مسبقاً.
الإقرار بالذنب
وخلال جلسة المحكمة، أقر كيفن إيفانز بالذنب في القضية، ليصدر بحقه حكم بالسجن لمدة 5 سنوات، منها سنتان في الحبس الفعلي، والبقية تحت المراقبة، كما شمل الحكم دمج تهمة إضافية ضمن القضية نفسها تحت إطار اتفاق الإقرار بالذنب.
وتضمنت شروط الإفراج عدم اقتراب المتهم من موقع الجريمة أو التواصل مع الضحية، والالتزام بعدم ارتكاب أي مخالفات جديدة خلال فترة المراقبة، وبهذا الحكم تُغلق القضية قانونياً، إلا أن التساؤلات ما زالت قائمة حول ما إذا كانت المواد الموسيقية المسروقة قد تم استرجاعها بالكامل أم لا، خصوصاً أنها تتعلق بأعمال غير مُعلنة لأحد أكبر نجوم العالم.
The city of Atlanta witnessed a controversial theft involving unreleased musical materials belonging to global star Beyoncé. Following intensified investigations, Kevin Evans was charged, convicted of theft, and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Details of the Theft
The incident dates back to July 8, 2024, when Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant filed a report about a broken car window intended for theft. Grant confirmed in the report that two bags were stolen from the vehicle, along with hard drives containing highly sensitive materials, including unreleased music by Beyoncé, performance plans, and content related to her Cowboy Carter Tour, song lists for the Atlanta concert, as well as production materials and previously recorded performances.
Plea Agreement
During the court session, Kevin Evans pleaded guilty in the case, resulting in a sentence of 5 years in prison, with 2 years to be served in actual custody and the remainder under supervision. The ruling also included the consolidation of an additional charge within the same case as part of the plea agreement.
The conditions of release included not approaching the crime scene or contacting the victim, as well as committing to not engaging in any new offenses during the supervision period. With this ruling, the case is legally closed; however, questions remain about whether the stolen musical materials have been fully recovered, especially since they pertain to unreleased works of one of the world’s biggest stars.
