كشفت الفنانة المصرية ليلى علوي، أصعب لحظة واجهتها في حياتها المهنية والشخصية، مستعيدة كواليس تعاونها مع المخرج العالمي يوسف شاهين في فيلم المصير.
وفاة والدي
وقالت خلال حضورها ندوة تكريمية استثنائية ضمن فعاليات الدورة العاشرة لمهرجان أسوان الدولي لأفلام المرأة: «توفي والدي في أول يوم تصوير لفيلم المصير، وبحكم أنني الابنة الكبرى، منحني يوسف شاهين يومًا واحدًا فقط للسفر من سوريا إلى مصر لإنهاء إجراءات الدفن، ثم عدت فورًا لمواصلة التصوير».
وأضافت: «لم أحضر عزاء والدي، واستقبلت المعزين بعد 15 يومًا من رحيله، وفاءً لالتزامي بتصوير مشاهدي في الفيلم».
اهتمام بالميكانيكا
وفي تصريحات عفوية كشفت ليلى علوي جانبا غير مألوف في شخصيتها، إذ أكدت أن طموحاتها الأكاديمية كانت بعيدة تمامًا عن أضواء الفن، حيث كانت تخطط لاقتحام عالم الميكانيكا.
وأوضحت بأنها كانت طالبة في قسم علمي رياضة بمرحلة الثانوية العامة، مدفوعة بشغف كبير للالتحاق بكلية الهندسة، وتحديدًا في تخصص ميكانيكا السيارات.
وعن بدايات اهتمامها بهذا المجال، قالت: «خُطبت للمرة الأولى في سن الـ 15 لمهندس، وكنت أتعلم منه أساسيات الميكانيكا، وبدأت بالفعل ممارسة ما تعلمته من مهارات يدوية في إصلاح سيارات أصدقائي وعائلتي»، مؤكدة أن شغفها بالسيارات والعلوم الرياضية كان حاضراً وبقوة خلف كواليس بداياتها الفنية.

The Death of My FatherShe said during her attendance at an exceptional honoring seminar as part of the tenth edition of the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival: “My father passed away on the first day of filming ‘Al-Maseer,’ and since I am the eldest daughter, Youssef Chahine gave me only one day to travel from Syria to Egypt to complete the burial procedures, and then I immediately returned to continue filming.”
She added: “I did not attend my father’s funeral, and I received condolences 15 days after his passing, honoring my commitment to filming my scenes in the movie.”
An Interest in MechanicsIn spontaneous statements, Laila Elwi revealed an unusual side of her personality, confirming that her academic ambitions were completely away from the limelight of art, as she had planned to enter the world of mechanics.
She explained that she was a student in the scientific mathematics section during high school, driven by a great passion to enroll in the Faculty of Engineering, specifically in the automotive mechanics specialization.
Regarding the beginnings of her interest in this field, she said: “I got engaged for the first time at the age of 15 to an engineer, and I was learning from him the basics of mechanics. I actually started practicing the manual skills I learned by repairing my friends’ and family’s cars,” emphasizing that her passion for cars and mathematical sciences was strongly present behind the scenes of her artistic beginnings.
