في حادثة صادمة هزّت الشارع البريطاني، أعلنت الشرطة وفاة المؤثرة وعارضة الأزياء كلوديا زاكشيفسكا ، متأثرة بإصابتها بعد تعرضها لحادث دهس وقع أمام أحد الملاهي الليلية، في واقعة تحوّلت سريعاً من شجار عابر إلى جريمة قتل مكتملة الأركان.
وبعد تأكيد الوفاة، عدّلت شرطة العاصمة البريطانية التهم الموجهة إلى المتهمة غابرييل كارينغتون، وهي متسابقة سابقة في برنامج «إكس فاكتور»، لتُصبح من «محاولة قتل» إلى «قتل عمد»، في ضوء ما كشفته التحقيقات الأولية.
وبحسب المعطيات، فإن المتهمة البالغة 29 عاماً صدمت بسيارتها الضحية وشخصين آخرين عمداً، عقب مشادة اندلعت خارج الملهى في الساعات الأولى من صباح الأحد. كما أظهرت وثائق المحكمة أنها كانت تقود تحت تأثير الكحول بنسبة تجاوزت الحد القانوني المسموح به.
الحادث أسفر عن وفاة كلوديا، بينما أُصيب أحد حراس الأمن في الخمسينات من عمره بإصابات وُصفت بأنها غيّرت مجرى حياته، في حين تعرّضت امرأة أخرى لإصابات طفيفة.
وفي تعليقها على الحادث، أعربت المفتشة أليسون فوكسويل عن تعازيها لأسرة الضحية، داعية إلى عدم تداول المقاطع المصوّرة للحادث احتراماً لخصوصية العائلة، ولضمان عدم التأثير على مجريات العدالة.
كلوديا، البولندية الأصل التي يتابعها أكثر من 250 ألف شخص على منصة «إنستغرام»، خيّم الحزن على متابعيها، وانهالت رسائل النعي خصوصاً من صديقة كانت شاهدة على الحادث، تحدثت عن صدمة الفقد وانتقدت انتشار الشائعات والمعلومات غير الدقيقة.
وتبقى المتهمة رهن الاحتجاز حتى استكمال التحقيقات والإجراءات القضائية، في قضية أثارت اهتماماً واسعاً نظراً لشهرة الأطراف وملابساتها التي بدأت بمشادة وانتهت بمأساة.
